Pizza, Beer, & Pinball - OH MY!
The Abandoned Station
Abandoned Station is a new taproom in Indy that is affiliated in some way with Narrow Gauge Brewing (from Missouri, I think), but it is a little unclear to this professor what the exact relationship is. Abandoned Station does have a lot of different beers on tap and canned from a variety of breweries. Really nice list.
In fairness, Abandoned Station is really more of a taproom that happens to sell pizza as opposed to a pizzeria with beer. The pizza choices are limited and they only have a small oven.
With that being said, it was a tasty pizza. I got the straight up pepperoni and, as a crust guy, I must report that the crust was quite tasty. I'd eat it again, but probably would go there mainly for the beer. There is better pizza in town.
The downstairs of Abandoned Station features 3 very nice pinball machines, a TMNT arcade game, skee-ball, and a bunch of board games. Kids are welcome and the staff is friendly.
What kind of pizza did you have? pepperoni
